What We Do

The need for healthy churches has never been greater. But healthy churches require healthy pastors. Shepherding is hard work. It requires long days and sleepless nights. Unfortunately, in many churches, sheepkeeping has given way to shopkeeping. Many pastors who have answered the call to pastoral ministry find themselves leading a complex organization in an environment increasingly hostile to the gospel. The current state of the church in today's culture often leads to pastors who are exhausted, discouraged and in need of some shepherding themselves. This calls for heavy doses of encouragement and coaching for the dedicated men and women who lead God's people.

Sheepkeepers is a non-profit ministry that was formed in 2018 to inspire, equip and encourage the next generation of pastors and church leaders. Founded by Dr. Gary Brandenburg, Sheepkeepers offers a library of sermons to assist busy pastors in preparing messages to feed their flocks. 

Our Founder

Dr. Gary Brandenburg has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Seminary where he was mentored by Dr. Haddon Robinson. He has pastored four churches, two in California and two in Texas. He currently serves on the International Board of Mercy Ships as well as the Board for Pine Cove Christian Camps. He is an Adjunct Professor at Dallas Theological Seminary and serves as a member of the teaching team at Fellowship Bible Church in Dallas, Texas.
